As a British Army veteran (Grenadier Guards) now living in Wales, Tim Scott wanted to give back to the amazing community that he lived in. His original fundraising event was called BKF bare knuckle fight scheduled for 28 Mar 20 but this was postponed to 21 Nov 20 due to Covid and again postponed once more (due to Covid) to "sometime in 2021".  Tim had already collected in a lot of sponsorship and his move out of the Uk in Jul 21 forced him to change to an event which could be completed sooner and so he chose the particularly difficult Fan Dance .

He chose Sat 8 May 21 to complete the run and with a Grenadier veteran friend (Jack) in the most atrocious weather, with pouring rain and 60mph gusting winds, set off to complete the 24km (15 mile) route (climbing 1200 meters) from the Storey Arms to Taf Fechen - the same route used as part of the British Army's Special Forces as a test of endurance.

In so doing Tim has raised over £1,300 for the Welsh Guards Charity and anyone wishing to make a donation in recognition of this achievement can do so here at his Just Giving page.
