The Welsh Guards Charity owns two WRU debentures which provide the same two seats at the Principality Stadium for every home Welsh Rugby International and each year the charity purchases two tickets for each home Six Nations and Autumn International match and these are then presented, free of charge, to members of the Battalion as decided by the Commanding Officer.
In addition, from time to time, we are able to present tickets to some of our Veterans who have supported the Regiment since leaving and in 2019 Geraint Hillard and Dale Leach were presented with tickets to attend the Wales v England Six Nations game on Saturday 17th August.
Geraint and Dale were very seriously injured whilst deployed on Op Herrick 10 in 2009 and received life altering injuries. Since leaving the Army, they have both supported the Regiment by conducting interviews and representing the charity at various events. They have both been great Ambassadors of the Charity and were pleased to be considered for this year’s tickets.
