Thursday 25th July 2019 marked a significant event in the Regiments history as the Welsh Guards flag was lowered at Elizabeth Barracks, Pirbright for the final time and raised in Combermere Barracks Windsor, home to the Household Cavalry since the early 1800's.
Leaving Elizabeth Barracks early on Thursday, troops cycled eight of the 15 miles to Combermere Barracks, Windsor with the battalion flag then handed over to Battalion runners who completed the remainder of the journey on foot.
