The Regimental Support Team (South) has and always will support the amazing Dreams and Wishes Charity and are grateful to have had the opportunity to once again, on Friday 21st December, team up with them to help bring some festive cheer to the Velindre Cancer Centre.
The afternoon was spent with the staff, patients and visitors at the centre and the Regimental Support Team were able to witness first hand the inspirational work of the Velindre Cancer centre Fundraising team. The team was impressed by everyone they met there and want to wish them all a wonderful Christmas.
The Welsh Guards also helped when Oscar was invited to 10 Downing street and the House of Commons by Dreams and Wishes. He had an amazing time and it was an absolute privilege for the Welsh Guards to be involved.
They were treated to lunch at the house of commons and Father Christmas made a surprise appearance and treated the children with lots of presents. They met Alan Cairns the Welsh secretary of state and John Bercow the Speaker of the House of Commons and as well as the Welsh Guards, the beautiful Disney princesses were there also to help.
