In February 2017 the Battalion enjoyed a visit by the Senior Naval Officer of HMS Prince of Wales. In order to further strengthen these links we were invited to provide representation at the naming ceremony 8 September 2017.
Held at Rosyth Dockyard, the Corps of Drums and a marching party, resplendent in Home Service Clothing, watched as the Duchess of Rothesay triggered the smashing of a bottle of 10-year-old whisky from the Laphroaig distillery in the Isle of Islay against the hull of the ship.
