1st Battalion Welsh Guards
Gdsm Qaranivalu represented the Infantry in the Lawson Cup against the Royal Artillery on 14 June 2017. The competition consists of 7 games of rugby league at a level higher than Battalion and is a successful breeding ground for future Army Rugby League players. The Infantry were the victors 32 points to 28 in a game described by the team manager as one of the most physically demanding games of Armed Forces Rugby League ever.
