The Battalion has been extremely busy preparing for a return to state, public and ceremonial duties after several years of Operational commitments.
However before assuming their ceremonial role they must pass the Major General's Inspection, a rigorous test of the Battalions fitness tand preparedness.
The entire Battalion will be presented to the Major General Commanding the Household Division and Headquarters London District, Major General BJ Bathurst CBE and his inspection will focus on the meticulous standards expected and required. It is no walk in the park and anyone who has experienced such an inspection in the past will understand the time and dedication spent in preparing,
The Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel H Llewellyn-Usher, conducted his own pre-inspection of the Battalion and it was obvious that a huge amount of effort has gone into the preparation of all personnel, clothing and equipment.
