The Welsh Guards are proud to be supporting Sam Warburton during his testimonial year in recognition of his immense contribution and dedication in the field of rugby to both Club and Country. His commitment is second to none and this is reflected in his outstanding record of achievements.
As Wales’ most capped captain and two-time captain of the British & Irish Lions; Sam Warburton OBE will go down in history as a true rugby legend.
The first Testimonial event was a James Bond & Rugby night at The Hurlingham Club featuring West End lead performers, supported by the Band of the Welsh Guards, in the company of HRH The Duke of Cambridge, Owen Farrell, Maro Itoje, Jamie Roberts and many stars from the worlds of sport & entertainment. The Regiment was extremely fortunate and grateful to receive a table for ten which enabled a selection of Officers and Senior Non Commissioned Officers to attend.
