1st Battalion Welsh Guards are currently in Wales undertaking a Mission Rehearsal Exercise before they deploy to Afghanistan.
The arduous Kabul Dawn exercise is the final opportunity for the Battalion to practise their infantry skills and demonstrate that they are capable of meeting any challenge.
It is vital that the tactics, techniques and procedures of the Army personnel are ready for the job at hand.
They now face a series of tough scenarios in the field to test their skills, leadership and discipline in difficult conditions.
