Over the weekend (10/11 March), Guardsman Gavin Bilton competed in the Wales Strongest Man Competition in Wrexham, North Wales.
Encouraged by the support of his wife, training team and members of the Welsh Guards, Guardsman Bilton took the first two events in his stride taking an early lead against some much more experienced power lifters and last year’s champion, who was home favourite.
Of the 6 arduous events, Gdsm Bilton won two, came second in two and third in two, with the audience taking to the young contender from the Welsh Guards.
Guardsman Bilton came second overall and has now qualified for the United Kingdom Strongest Man Competition in July
