This week 1st Battalion Welsh Guards assumed responsibilities as the Kabul Protection Unit.
For the next 8 months Welsh Guardsmen will be in Kabul force protecting UK and coalition mentors as they assist the Afghan National Defence and Security Forces in securing their country.
