A tremendous well done and thank you to WO2 Michael Parry (19) who, on Saturday 2nd June, ran 40 miles in 6 hours and 5 min along the North Wales Costal path raising funds for the Welsh Guards Charity and ABF The Soldiers Charity.
Sgt Pete Duffy from the North Wales Regimental Support Team was a tremendous help, along with Welsh Guards veterans; Stephen O'Brien, Mark Owen and Gareth Evans, who joined him at various stages of the run, providing much appreciated morale.
After a gruelling 6 hours WO2 Michael Parry met a warm reception at the Gazelle Hotel, Beaumaris (owned by veteran Welsh Guardsman and Welsh Guards Association Secretary General, Mr Maldwyn Jones (aka 92) who very generously supplied the venue.
It was great to see so many supporters and former Welsh Guards at the finish line.
