It's a long journey to Kabul but Number Two Company has made it, courtesy of the Royal Air Force C-17 Globemaster III long range, heavy-lift strategic transport aircraft.
They join the remainder of the Battalion deployed on Op TORAL 6 as part of the UK’s Kabul Security Force, supporting the international community’s contribution to developing the Afghan National Defence and Security Forces in order to provide long term stability for the country.
Once Number Two Company arrived at Hamid Karzai International Airport there was plenty of work to do, from sorting out weapons to unloading baggage.
They even fitted in some Airborne Reaction Force Training with the Royal Air Force as they moved out to meet up with Battalion Headquarters and the Prince of Wales's company.
