The Welsh Guards will be holding a memorial walk on  Saturday 19th October 2024 in South Wales.

The Aim:  To remember all of our fallen and reflect on their service and sacrifice.

Who can attend: The walk is open to the entire WG family including families and friends of our fallen and all members of the Regiment young and not so young, past and present, families and friends.  Children are also very welcome as are 4 legged companions.  This walk is a Regimental event and attending is warmly encouraged. The WG Rugby Reunion Club (WGRRC) will organise and sponsor the walks in line with the Club’s Mission and Objectives and everyone will be made very welcome.

Nominal roll:  To obtain a walk ticket number please inform the walk leader.  We MUST know who is attending as we need to inform the local police of numbers and to ensure sufficient food is ordered and car parking arrangements are made.

Costs:  The WGRRC will cover the cost of food but refreshments will be an individual responsibility.

Dress:  Please dress according to the weather and wear suitable footwear.

Wet weather programme:  Bring a coat! The walk will take place regardless of weather.

Please note:  It is really important to us that we know who is attending so please do ensure you inform the walk leader of your attendance as this will help us enormously with the efficient running of the event, thank you.

Veterans Officer:  The WG Veterans Officer, Jiffy Myers MBE, will engage with the families of our fallen regarding the walks and is contactable as follows:
